KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 — Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP) to be tabled next May would outline the country’s final transformation process into a high income developed nation.
The Prime Minister said to achieve the national aspiration by 2020, the government would accord priority to high impact, low cost projects and ensuring their efficient and speedy implementation.
“Besides the approaches proposed in the Budget 2015, themed, ‘Economy of the People’s Needs’, I have divided the management of our economy into two parts, namely, capital economy and people economy,” he said.
He said this in the Prime Minister’s radio broadcast, uploaded today on the website, najibrazak.com.
Najib was also confident and positive that Malaysia was on track towards its target of developed nation status by 2020.
On October 10, the prime minister announced in the Budget 2015, that RM273.9 billion would be spent on management and development, to complement the 10MP.
The implementation of the 11MP will be from 2016 until 2020. — Bernama
