KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 10 ― A Singaporean man was among the 13 people hurt in the grenade blast yesterday morning.
According to The Straits Times, 67-year-old Wong Kim Teng is well and had five stitches after suffering injuries to his legs.
Wong says he is in the the dark about what triggered the attack in Jalan Bukit Bintang. When questioned on why he was in the area during that hour, he merely said he was “a visitor”.
"It was like thunder. And then suddenly I saw blood all over me. I'm sorry, I have no other news or information on what happened," Wong was quoted as saying by The Straits Times.
Wong was among the four foreigners injured in the blast.
The man who died was a 36-year-old Malaysian car jockey named Tiong Kwang Yie.
