KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 — The transcript of communications between the missing Malaysian airliner and air control, as released by a UK daily, is inaccurate, Malaysian authorities said today.
The Telegraph had earlier released the full transcript of communications starting from when flight MH370 was preparing to take off until its very last message at 1.19am on March 8.
“The transcript is not accurate,” Department of Civil Aviation director-general Datuk Azharuddin Abdul Rahman told reporters at a media briefing today.
The UK paper’s version of the transcript showed what can only be seen as starkly routine communications between the cockpit and air control and sheds no new light on the missing airliner.
“The original transcript of the conversation between MH370 and Malaysian air traffic control is with the investigations team, where it is being analysed,” acting transport minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said.
“As is standard practice in investigations of this sort, the transcript cannot be publicly released at this stage. I can however confirm that the transcript does not indicate anything abnormal,” he added.
