SEPANG, March 8 — Some family members of passengers aboard Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 have started leaving the waiting area at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, complaining of the lack of new information on the plane’s disappearance.
It has been more than 15 hours since the plane last communicated with the Subang Air Traffic Control, and many continue to speculate the plane has crashed in the Gulf of Thailand, some 250km south of Vietnam.
An unidentified couple, who came out from the heavily guarded holding area, were in tears when asked about the status of the missing plane by the media.
“I’m getting fed up of waiting and I have nothing else to say,” said the woman before walking away.
Several others also left, but remained tight lipped.
Families of the passengers have been waiting from as early as 9am for updates on the Beijing-bound flight. Some earlier said MAS representatives had requested them to bring their passports and to be on “standby”.
MAS have yet to issue any official statement on the matter.
The Malaysian Embassy in Hanoi has also directed all queries to MAS.
