KUANTAN, Dec 15 — The number of flood evacuees at relief centres in Pahang has dropped further, from 5,225 people last night to 4,751 people as of 9 am this morning.
A Pahang police flood operations room spokesman said the victims, from 1,197 families, remained at 45 flood relief centres in three districts.
Pekan has the highest number of evacuees at 3,602 victims from 909 families as compared to 4,076 victims from 1,100 families last night.
There is no change in the number of evacuees in Kuantan where 736 victims from 188 families remain at four shelters and it is the same scenario in Maran which still has 314 people from 100 families in five relief centres. – Bernama
