KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 — An extreme sports enthusiast is eager to lend a hand to flood victims in the east coast through his surf-up paddle board.

Wilson Goh said the board is the best way to reach flood victims when conventional boats can not pass through.

“The rubber board stands at 11ft when inflated and weighs only 11kg, but it is extremely durable. It can traverse waters and is much easier to manoeuvre than boats,” said Goh, 34.

Although the board can only carry lightweight items, Goh is optimistic it can provide sufficient aid to the victims.

“The paddle board can transport up to two adults and is able to carry a maximum load of 168kg. It is good enough to provide quick aid.”

Goh, who visited The Malay Mail yesterday, is willing to supply boards to volunteers willing to accompany him to help the victims.

“I am ready to go any time and hope others will join my cause.”
