KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 — Love, serenity and a spectrum of nature. With that mantra in mind, Datin Catherine Lai launched 3Rituals, a decorative gemstones and home accessories brand in 2020.
To create product awareness and bring positivity into people's lives, Lai recently organised '3Rituals Sonic Healing Session'. It featured 60 minutes of sound bath and candle appreciation.
Held at the lush M Resort & Hotel in Bukit Kiara, it was attended by 40 people eager to infuse zen into their daily routine.
“This event took us three weeks to put together. Based on the positive response, I hope to hold it regularly as it is beneficial for many, some of whom are trying it for the first time,” Lai told Malay Mail.
In a darkened room, the participants relaxed and laid down on yoga mats. Guided by Lai's soothing directions, they focused on a series of gentle hums in different pitches and frequencies produced from brass and crystal bowls.
Throughout the session, Lai was assisted by Hibiki Sound Healing Salon owner Sari Miyata who used her Koshi chimes as sound therapy and meditation tool.
Among the participants was Miss World Malaysia 2005 Emmeline Ng, who brought her own crystals to the event.
“I love how wholesome the experience was from start to finish. It moved all of the five senses in the body.” said Ng.
“The arrangement and set up was done beautifully,” added Ng. “I like the blends with the Tibetan bowls and crystal bowls, it was very grounding.”
As Lai noted in her company website, 3Rituals was born out of her passion for all things home, nature and lifestyle.
An interior designer by training and vocation, Lai’s forte has always been in bringing empty spaces to life, imbuing them with thoughtful elements.
“My inspiration comes from the great outdoors: breathing in the clean, crisp air, watching the sun rise beyond the horizon and feeling the sensation of a brand new day,” shared Lai.
Lai and Miyata will next participate in CEO System Reset with Noa/Aon at Ruma Hotel & Residences KL on July 9.
