KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 — Tech billionaires Elon Musk of Twitter and Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook recently agreed to hold a mixed martial arts (MMA) cage fight after exchanging jabs on Twitter.

Many social media users doubted if their proposed fight was real but according to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White, their feud is ‘dead serious’, FOX Business reported.

White told TMZ Sports that he allegedly spoke to the two tech giants on Wednesday night (June 21) and claimed they both ‘want to do it’.

According to White, Zuckerberg reached out to him first to ask if Musk was serious, which made him call Musk who said he was.

“The biggest fight of all time was Floyd Mayweather and Conor (McGregor), I just think it triples that,” White said.

“This would be the biggest fight ever in the history of the world. Bigger than anything that’s ever been done. It would break all pay-per-view records.”

“These guys would raise hundreds of millions of dollars for charity. You don’t have to be a fighting fan to be interested in this fight. Everybody would want to see it.”

Musk and Zuckerberg’s social media feud began when Zuckerberg’s Meta announced it was working on a text-based social media network to compete with Twitter.

When a user warned Musk that Zuckerberg had 18 months of training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Musk claimed he had no problem stepping into the cage with Zuckerberg.

“I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” Musk, 51, tweeted.

“Send me location,” Zuckerberg, 39, responded on Instagram, referencing UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Musk then responded by suggesting The Octagon in Las Vegas, a competition mat and caged-in area used for UFC fights.

“I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus’, where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing,” Musk jokingly tweeted before sharing videos of walruses flopping around.
