KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 — Malaysian celebrity preacher PU Abu is currently in a polygamous relationship.
Abu or his real name Abu Sufyan told Harian Metro that he and his two wives, Ain Afini and Hana Azraa, were content with the arrangement and their household has never been happier.
He admitted that the arrangement was made to avoid further controversies involving his two wives while also revealing that he reconciled with his second wife Hana two years ago after their divorce in April 2020.
“Alhamdulillah, I’m grateful and content living in polygamy at the moment. Both of my wives are getting along just fine, it’s just that we still couldn’t find the time to celebrate Raya together as one big family just yet.
“As a man, all matters involving divorce and Ruju (resume conjugal relations within the period after the divorce) come from me because I’m the one who can announce it.
“I also want to build a happier and better household this time and at the same time I hope for prayers and support from everyone,” he said.
He added that he was still receiving negative comments from social media users following his previous marriage controversy.
Abu, who now has to provide for his two wives and five children, also revealed that he’s currently working as an operation manager under a local Muslim tourism company while also doing motivational classes for schools and corporate companies.
He added that both of his wives had their own businesses.
When asked for tips on polygamy, Abu shared that patience is key to any marriage.
“This is not just for polygamous households but for any marriage in general because polygamy is not the only reason for divorces.
“The husband’s role is important in shaping a happy family,” he said.
Previously Abu and Hana had made headlines after taking Hana as his second wife in May 2019, thus making her the third wheel in his marriage to his first wife, Ain Afini.
Abu and Hana’s marriage lasted just around a year with the preacher confirming that they divorced in April 2020.
