KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 — An Indonesian man rode his motorcycle for 80 kilometres before realising he had left his wife behind during a pit stop.

Arif Romadon was on his way to his village at Kediri, East Java from Bogor, West Java for Hari Raya where he stopped at Brebes in Central Java after missing a turning, Tribunnews reported.

After determining the right route, the 37-year-old continued with his journey but without his wife Siti Aminah as the pillion rider.

Arif only realised he had forgotten about his 40-year-old wife when their daughter, Krissna asked about her mother's whereabouts.

At the same time, there were 21 missed calls on Arif's mobile phone from Siti, who went to Brebes police station to seek help.

Arif is not the only man to forget about his wife during road trips.

In December, a Thai man did not realise his wife was not in the car when he drove off after a pee break.

Boontom Chaimoon had stopped his car to take a leak by the roadside while his wife Amnuay Chaimoon had gone into the jungle to relieve herself.

After finishing nature's call, Boontom drove off without realising Amnuay was not in the car, India Times reported.

Amnuay later walked for 20 kilometres to seek police assistance to contact Boontom.
