KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 — A cute dog’s photos went viral when she came home looking like Sid the Sloth after a botched job by the dog groomer.
Sid the Sloth is a character from the animated film Ice Age.
Upset, her family took to social media to complain.
“Count your f****** days PetSmart,” posted Big Burt@realburtiis on Twitter.
The before and after photos of the pooch drew plenty of laughs and a mixture of ‘aww’ and ‘aargh’ reactions from the public.
In addition to Sid the Sloth, hilarious comparisons were also made with Frank from Shameless, a scruffy-looking male character from a British TV series and the chicken from Disney’s Moana.
The tweet has gone viral with more than 500,000 likes, 90,000 retweets, and hundreds of responses.
One user wrote: “Imagine dropping off your furbaby for a groom only to later pick up Sid from Ice Age!
“Lord, forgive me for laughing so hard I started wheezing.”
Another joked: “Me going out Friday night vs me waking up Saturday morning.”
A third said: “They know they’re wrong. Then they threw a bow on her. We still notice!”
However, a few Twitter users defended the groomer’s handiwork.
One person said: “The only reason why a groomer would shave them that short would be because you didn’t brush them.”
Another replied: “Customers like you are why a lot of private shops are just straight up not accepting doodles anymore.
“People don’t take care of them properly and then plaster pictures like this on the internet blaming the groomer.”
