SYDNEY, Dec 16 ― Sydney's famous Bondi Beach is a sea of red and white on Tuesday (December 15) as 320 surfers dressed up in Santa costumes rode the waves.
Guinness World Record said the event had set a new record for the largest surf lesson, according to local media.
Some of the Santas found it tricky to stay up right, but everyone seemed to have fun.
Organisers of the event said they needed at least 250 surfers to beat the Guinness World Record.
The event was organised by a local surfing school and One Wave, a non-profit surfing group that aims to raise awareness for mental health issues, Australian media reported. ― Reuters
