CHICAGO, Dec 7 — It is said that beauty is only skin deep, but the definition of beauty has become a rather obsessive paradigm that has affected present society.

This clip shows a social experiment that recorded people’s reactions to being called “beautiful” and it offers a powerful demonstration of the vulnerability kind words can evoke.

Shea Glover, an 18-year-old high school student from Chicago, made a video as part of her innovative arts project and filmed some friends and strangers. Once camera rolled, Shea told them she's taking pictures of those who she find beautiful. The response she got from people is worth a watch.

The end result? Some of the most humbling and genuine moments of how much of an impact being complimented can have on our state of being.
