Worldwide images of the week (SLIDESHOW)

LONDON, July 28 — Some fascinating photographs are brought to you by AFP photograhers from major capital cities like Beijing and London to lesser known locations such as Satov in the Czech Republic and Cali in Colombia over the past week.

Stefan Aaron is seated in front of his piano on an aluminum structure that is reminiscent of a flying carpet and attached to a helicopter. The appearance is the fourth stop on his “Orange Piano Tour” that will take him and his orange piano to exceptional locations around the world. Stefan Aaron has played on the Great Wall and the Pulpit Rock in Norway, a natural rock platform 604 metres above the Lysefjord near Stavanger.

Satov, Czech Republic

People visited a painted wine cellar in the village Satov, Czech Republic on July 23, 2014. The sandstone cellar walls are painted with images of mermaids, dwarfs and Alpine landscapes painted by a local citizen Maxmillian Appeltauer (1904-1972), who devoted his free time to painting.
