SINGAPORE, June 3 — Forty-six cabbies will have their heads shaved during a satellite event today (June 3) to express their support for children with cancer, as part of the Hair for Hope 2014 event organised by the Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF).

“I felt that it was the least I could do to support the children with cancer. It is a morale booster for me today to see many other CabbyCare members coming forward for this meaningful cause,” said Mr Henry Tay, who will be participating in the annual fundraising event.

CabbyCare is a voluntary organisation comprising 150 Comfort and CityCab cabbies.

Besides joining Hair for Hope as a new satellite partner this year, CabbyCare will also be donating S$10,000 (RM25,700)— all coming from the cabbies — to the CCF, said ComfortDelGro in a statement today.

CEO of ComfortDelGro, Mr Yang Ban Seng, also commended CabbyCare cabbies for stepping forward “to support this worthy cause”. — Today
