NEW YORK, March 9 — Perfume makers have not forgotten about men this spring, and a number of brands have introduced new masculine scents or limited edition flacons based on the themes of elegance and glamour.

Eau d’Arômes by Armani

The Italian luxury brand has expanded upon its Eaux d’Armani collection with this perfume directly inspired by the iconic Armani jacket. The fragrance is characterized by notes of bergamot, mandarin and ginger, along with cardamom, aromatic sage, red pepper and ambergris. Eau d’Arômes will be available from March 10.

Price: €61 (RM276) for 50ml.

1 Million $ by Paco Rabanne

The fashion house pays homage to greenbacks with this offbeat new version of its iconic fragrance 1 Million. For this special edition, the gold bar-shaped flacon features a design inspired by the US dollar bill. The contents of the bottle remain the same, however. This masculine essence still opens with notes of grapefruit, mint and red mandarin, paired with extracts of rose absolute and cinnamon. An accord of blonde leather, patchouli, amber and blonde woods provides the base notes. The special edition eau de toilette will be available from March 17.

Price: €72 for 100ml.

Cerruti 1881 Bella Notte Man by Cerruti

At the onset of spring, Cerruti has presented a new fragrance inspired by La Dolce Vita. Created by nose Olivier Cresp, this fragrance opens with spicy notes of Sichuan pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, juniper and coriander leaves, combined with Mexican lime and jasmine extract. Vanilla, together with patchouli and cedar, provide the base notes. The new fragrance will arrive at perfume counters from April 1.

Price: €54 for 75ml.

L’Homme, La Nuit de L’Homme and L’Homme Libre by YSL

Rather than introducing a new scent this spring, Yves Saint Laurent is presenting limited edition flacons for a trio of its classic fragrances. This season, L’Homme, La Nuit de L’Homme and L’Homme Libre are available in unique flacons designed by Norwegian artist Gardar Eide Einarsson on the theme of “contemporary masculinity.” The three designs, each different from the last, feature patterns of parallel lines in different directions, which come together in the center of the flacon where the logo and the name of the fragrance are inscribed. This “Art Edition” of the three fragrances is available in perfume stores now.

Price: €79 for 100ml.

Aqua Amara by Bulgari

The latest men’s fragrance from Bulgari, Aqua Amara was designed by French perfumer Jacques Cavallier. Reprising some of the notes found in Aqua Pour Homme, launched in 2005, the perfumer simply added notes of Tunisian neroli, Sicilian mandarin and Indonesian patchouli. This new eau de toilette is available at perfume counters now.
