PUTRAJAYA, Dec 11 — Expect long queues when the second Magnum cafe opens next Monday, 10am at the brand new IOI City Mall here.
This was confirmed by a source from Magnum Putrajaya, the operators of the cafe. Magnum Putrajaya also indicated that the first 500 customers to the outlet will be entitled to a free customised Magnum ice-cream.
This is similar to the opening promotion that kicked off their cafe opening at Mid Valley Megamall on November 14, which saw long queues.
Unlike the double-storey cafe there, the Magnum Putrajaya cafe will be located on a single level with an outside sitting area. Expect customised ice-creams, plated desserts and savoury items like salads, soups and pasta to be served at the cafe.
The main attraction for the Magnum Cafe is the chance to get experimental with “Make My Magnum”. As reported byThe Star, there are around 250,000 variations for your Magnum.
The customisation is a 4-step process – coat, top, drizzle and set. Start off with a choice of vanilla or chocolate brownie flavoured-cream coated with chocolate.
Next, you choose from all kinds of toppings that range from nuts or marshmallows to more exotic rose petals and chilli flakes. Even goji berries normally found in your Chinese herbal soup can be used as a topping.
For a final flourish, finish it up with a chocolate drizzle, preferably in a contrasting colour and leave it to set before enjoying your own creation.
