PETALING JAYA, Aug 7 — Yayasan Tuanku Fauziah (YTF) has launched the Women in Technology Awards 2026, a national initiative to recognise outstanding Malaysian women, whose leadership, innovation and technological achievements are shaping the country’s future.
The awards, organised with the Malaysian Industry Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) as technical partner open for nominations from August 10 to September 5. Both self-nominations and third-party submissions from industry, academia, government, startups and research institutions are welcomed.
Two categories will be offered — the Senior Women in Technology Award, worth RM30,000, for professionals with at least 20 years’ experience, and the Junior Women in Technology Award, worth RM15,000, for innovators aged 35 and below or with under 10 years’ experience.
YTF said the awards celebrate exceptional Malaysian women whose contributions have advanced science, technology and innovation, inspiring greater participation in STEM and encouraging future generations of innovators and leaders.
Award recipients will be honoured at the YTF Gala Dinner on October 17, with nominations evaluated on professional achievements, innovation, national impact and contributions to Malaysia’s technology ecosystem.
