"The meeting will talk about the way the Cabinet members should manage their respective ministries, on how to work together with civil servants, how to make media announcements and how to not waste government funds,” he said at the Kenduri Rakyat at Masjid Muhammad Al Fateh in Taman Jati.

The Tambun MP will announce the Cabinet line-up in Putrajaya later today.

Anwar added that the focus of the government right now is to strengthen and develop the economy.

"We need to strengthen the ringgit. When the ringgit is strengthened the import cost will be less and when it happens, the cost of goods and food will also be less.

"Secondly, we need to identify and make sure to implement the right policies to improve the economy. For this the politicians and civil servants have to work together. We have to avoid all misunderstandings and different views to materialise this matter,” he said.

Anwar was on his first official visit to the Tambun constituency after he was appointed as the country’s 10th Prime Minister nine days ago.
