KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 —Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay went viral for showcasing his hidden talent — making roti canai.

In a post on his Facebook page, Ayob said he had stopped by Curry House Sibu Bus Terminal to have the dish and that he and his wife were on holiday in Sarawak.

Somehow he ended up making his own roti and in the video can be seen making not one, not two but seven pieces of roti canai with a practiced ease.

Ayob stepped in to make the roti canai himself as he said the way it was being made, to his eye, wasn’t to his taste.

He joked, “Sekali sekala kena asah bakat juga…dah nak pencen ni.” (You need to hone your skills once in a while…retirement is just around the corner)

Malaysians were very impressed at his skill with some also pleading with him not to retire too soon as he was “still needed”.

Now the real question that needs to be asked — what other culinary skills has the Deputy IGP been hiding? Enquiring minds need to know.
