KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17 — Watsons Malaysia has opened Watsons Plus, its largest store to date at Isetan Lot 10, Bukit Bintang, which also marks the opening of the health and beauty retail chain’s 888th branch.

Spanning over 18,000 square feet, the store has also received recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records as the Largest Health and Beauty Retail Store.

AS Watson Group Regional Managing Director of Health and Beauty Asia and Watsons International Regional Executive Director Caryn Loh said the opening of Watsons Plus marks a new milestone in the company’s efforts to introduce a more innovative retail experience and meet customer needs.

“More than just our largest store in Malaysia, Watsons Plus is a bold step in shaping the future of retail by combining innovation, personalisation, exploration, and a seamless offline-and-online experience,” she said in a statement today.

Watsons Plus offers over 17,000 health, beauty, wellness, and lifestyle products, including skincare, luxury fragrances, beauty products from Japan, Korea, and China, as well as local beauty products.

In addition, the store also features local food and beverage selections through the Taste of Malaysia concept, Malaysian-themed souvenirs, and popular snacks from ASEAN countries.

Visitors can also enjoy various services including pharmacy consultations, skin and scalp scans, nail, eyebrow, and eyelash care, as well as scalp washing services and massages.

Other facilities include the Watsons Club Lounge for members, a Fun Zone children’s play area, and a collaboration with ZUS COFFEE offering special beverage selections.

The opening of Watsons Plus also coincides with the 185th anniversary of the AS Watson Group, reflecting the group’s efforts to strengthen innovation and customer experience in the retail sector.

The Watsons Plus store redefines the traditional retail experience by creating a spacious and engaging environment as a destination that encourages customers to explore, discover, try, and enjoy the experience at their own leisure.

“Inspired by Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage, contemporary batik design elements are applied throughout the interior space, creating a distinctive Malaysian identity to welcome local customers and international visitors.

“Completing this experience is the Malaysia Cultural Souvenir destination, which offers a variety of items inspired by local identity, including apparel, toys, collectibles, home furnishings, pet care products, and travel accessories. Each selection reflects the nation’s rich heritage and creativity,” according to the statement.

This combination makes it an unique retail destination that brings together shopping, wellness, lifestyle, and exploration under one roof.
