SINGAPORE, Dec 6 — A fatal accident at the Second Link towards Tuas Checkpoint killed a male motorcyclist and injured two others this morning.
The accident, which took place around 5am, caused a massive jam in the area before traffic returned to normal at about 8.30am, according to the authorities.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call at about 5.09am, and dispatched one ambulance to the location.
The male motorcyclist, who was in his 50s, was pronounced dead by the paramedics. Another male motorcyclist and his female pillion rider, both conscious and in their 30s, were also sent to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, added SCDF.
It is unclear how the accident occurred.
The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) first posted about the traffic accident at 6.39am on their Facebook page, warning motorists to expect delays.
