SINGAPORE, Aug 17 — A massive fire broke out at a building near the Tampines Industrial Park this afternoon.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the fire was at No 39, Tampines Street 92, which is the address of CK Building. Billows of dark smoke could be seen from as far as Changi International Airport.

A spokesman for SCDF said there are no known casualties at the moment.

On Facebook, the SCDF said that the fire was raging on the third and fourth floor of the building. Six water jets have been deployed on the exterior of the building to contain the fire.

A total of five fire engines, two Red Rhinos, two Fire Bikes, 12 support vehicles & two ambulances were also deployed to the scene.

When TODAY arrived at the location, loud explosive sounds could be heard as firefighters battled the blaze. Police were seen putting up cordon tape around the area. — TODAY
