SINGAPORE, Aug 18 — Mobile phone users who burn through their data faster than Joseph Schooling through water will be pleased to learn there is a new 24GB monthly package on the market.

Available for sign-up from today, Starhub’s new SurfHub 24 plan is offering 24GB of mobile data on a 24-month plan for S$156.56 (RM466.41) per month.

The offer includes 700 minutes and 1,500 SMSes as well as 1Gpbs fibre broadband.

There is also a SurfHub 12 option with 12GB of data, 150 minutes and 1000 SMSes for S$96.56 per month. This too includes 1Gbps fibre broadband. SurfHub is also offering 15GB and 18GB plans, priced at S$116.56 and S$136.56 respectively.

SingTel’s largest mobile broadband data plan is 10GB and costs S$49.90 per month, while rival M1 has a 13GB plan with unlimited calls and 5000 SMSes priced at S$225 per month.

StarHub’s Head of Product and Marketing Ms Wang Li-Na said the new plans were aimed at customers who missed the freedom that huge data bundles offer. She said StarHub wants to continue giving its “customers the best value”.
