NEW YORK, July 11 — A new app, compatible with Google Cardboard and Oculus Rift promises to get users as close as possible to the real experience of racing a Lexus RF C sportscar around the track
Captured at the Ascari circuit in Spain, Lexus employed cameras throughout the inside of the car, at specific points around its exterior and around the track too, to create the most immersive 360-degree experience possible.
The resulting app can be installed and used on an iPhone, iPad or Android device but has also been built from the ground up to make the most of virtual reality headsets.
Lexus has developed its own branded version of Google Cardboard for the app and it will aslo work with Oculus Rift and with YouTube’s latest innovation — 360° YouTube video. — AFP-Relaxnews
