KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 — Professional mixed doubles pair Jimmy Wong-Lai Pei Jing will have another shot at clinching their maiden title as they stormed into the Korea Masters final in Jeonbuk today.
The third-seeded Jimmy-Pei Jing were made to slog before seeing off home pair An Yun Seong-Lee Yu Lim 21-14, 19-21, 21-15 in 59 minutes during the semi-finals of the Super 300 tournament in Wonkwang University Cultural and Sports Centre.
Tomorrow, the world number 37 pair will face the eighth seeds and another home duo, Kim Jae Hyeon-Jeoung Na Eun.
Jae Hyeon-Na Eun had earlier downed compatriots Wang Chan-Kim Yu Jung 21-19, 21-10.
Jimmy-Pei Jing, who formed their partnership in March, have finished as runners-up six times this year — at the Vietnam International Challenge, Phuket International Series, St Denis Reunion Open, Macau Open, Indonesia Masters I and Indonesia Masters II. — Bernama
