KUALA NERUS, April 17 — Terengganu Football Club (TFC) head coach Tomislav Steinbruckner admits that a tough task awaits his charges when they face off against Selangor FC at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium (MBPJ) tomorrow night.

The Croatian-born manager said that even though his team has won four consecutive matches, it does not guarantee a win for the squad against Selangor FC who are at their best currently.

Unfortunately, TFC had a bad record for having lost all three away matches against Kedah Darul Aman (KDA), Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) and defending champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT).

“We know Selangor FC have many quality players. They are also in top form. But we have also made a lot of improvement by winning four games in a row. So, I hope our players can do better and keep the momentum.

“We must at least come back with one point from Selangor tomorrow night,” he said when met during a training session at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, here.

However, Steinbruckner admitted that injuries suffered by some of his defensive players was giving him a headache due to a lack of depth in the reserves.

Therefore, he had to rely on the attacking trio of Adisak Kraisorn, Ivan Mamut and Jordan Mintah who have scored six goals in Super League and FA Cup so far.

“Argzim (Argzim Redzovic) and Nijey (Shahrul Nizam Ros Hasni) are still suffering from injuries and Sardor (Sardor Kulmatov) has only a 50-50 chance of playing tomorrow,” he said.

Meanwhile, TFC skipper Habib Haroon urged his teammates to improve the quality of their game so as to end the losing streak when playing away from home. — Bernama
