BRISBANE, April 15 — Malaysia’s women’s pair Chow Mei Kuan-Vivian Hoo bagged the gold medal in the women’s doubles final at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

In the final battle at the Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre Mei Kuan-Vivian beat England Lauren Smith-Sarah Walker in a straight set 21-12, 21-12.

This is the seventh gold medal for the Malaysian contingent at the 2018 Gold Coast, surpassing its achievement at 2014 edition of the Games in Glasgow, Scotland. — Bernama
