KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18 — Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong ended their campaign this year with a bang, winning the men’s doubles title in the World Super Series Finals in Dubai, United Arab Emirates tonight.

The Malaysian top doubles pair who were making their debut in the tournament took 40 minutes to tame Japanese pair Takeshi Kamura-Keigo Sonoda in the final, winning in straight sets of 21-14, 21-19.

The silver medallists in the Rio Olympics won a Super Series title for the first time at the Denmark Open in October.

Since pairing up in 2014, V Shem-Wee Kiong had also won the Indian Open Grand Prix and United States Open earlier this year.
