KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 — Selangor and Kedah will once again square up in the Malaysia Cup final later this month.

The Red Giants, Selangor beat T-Team 3-0 in the second leg semi-final at Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium, Kuala Terengganu last night.

Selangor won 5-1 on aggregate.

The Red Hawks, Kedah drew 0-0 against Royal Malaysian Police (The Cops) in the second leg semi-final at Hang Jebat Stadium, Melaka.

Kedah won 2-1 on aggregate.

Selangor opened scoring in the third minute via R. Gopinathan who finished a pass from Andik Vermansyah.

The squad of head coach K. Gunalan then doubled their lead through defender Ugochukwu Ukah in the 19th minute.

Selangor went 3-0 when Andik scored towards the end of match to disappoint the 10,000 supporters of the ‘The Titans.’

Despite the 0-0 draw, the match between Police and Kedah was a lively one.

Kedah had many chances to score but Thiago Augusto Fernandes, Shane Smeltz Edward and captain Baddrol Bakhtiar failed to find the net.

Police had their best chance when striker Muhammad Safuwan Baharuddin found the space but he sent the header wide.

Selangor beat Kedah 2-0 in the 2015 Malaysia Cup final at Shah Alam Stadium.
