KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 — The Police football squad proved they are invincible when they defended their unbeaten record with a 2-1 win over DRB Hicom at Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka yesterday.

With the win, the boys in blue top the Premier League table with 15 points after five matches.

Police were on the rampage with its Brazillian import Chad Charles Souza who opened the scoring in the second minute from just outside the penalty box.

However DRB Hicom equalised in the 77th minute before Rafael Souza Silva netted the winning goal for Police in the 88th minute.

Penang, now sitting in second spot in the league collected three full points after defeating Penang Water Supply Corporation FC (PBAPP FC) 2-1 at City Stadium, Penang.

It was PBAPP FC that created the jolt when their midfielder, Muhamad Badrulhisani Abdul Rahman opened the score in the 11th minute but Penang replied through Hilton Mauro Moreira in the 41st minute before Mohd Azizan Baba slammed in the winner in the 94th minute.

At Likas Stadium, Sabah, the home team beat Kedah 3-2.

Kedah were ahead in the 7th minute via captain Baddrol Bakhtiar before Mohd Syazwan Zainon added another goal in 45th minute.

Sabah rose from the deficit to put in their first goal through import player Marwan Mustafa Sayedeh in additional time in the first half.

Mitrovic Srecko equalised for Sabah in the 71st minute before Marwan scored again in 81st minute to earn Sabah three full points.

At Darul Aman Stadium in Kedah, Perlis score their first victory after defeating UiTM FC 2-1 with goals from Mohd Amri Fazal Mat Nor and Gonzalo Garavano in the 21st minute and 45th minute.

UiTM FC’s only goal was scored by Charles Obiikechukwu.

In another match, Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) drew 2-2 with Felda United at Selayang Stadium with JDT II goals from Braulio Nobrega through a penalty in 13th minute and Azni Taib (77th minute).

Felda United’s two goals were scored by Edward Junior Wilson (49th minute) and Mohammad Khairul Ismai in the 65th minute.

At Paroi Stadium, Negeri Sembilan were tied to a goalless draw with SPA Putrajaya FC. — Bernama
