KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 4 — Media Prima Group will be building up interest to 2013/2014 World Cup through its 'Riuh di Brazil' campaign until the final match.

Its chief executive officer, Ahmad Izham Omar said the group would be presenting Malaysian football fans with various exclusive programmes and news coverage.

 “Media Prima television network will broadcast attractive programmes such as the minute long vignette entitled 'Destination Brazil' from tomorrow and 'National Icons' and 'The Road to Brazil' programmes from May.

 “The group's print media will be giving extensive coverage of the World Cup final round in Brazil, team preparations to the final round as well as the fixtures and results of matches,” he said when launching the 'Riuh di Brazil' campaign at Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama here yesterday.

The campaign was launched by Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin included the display of the 2014 World Cup trophy which is now being exhibited on a world tour.

The tour which began on Sept 12 in Rio de Janeiro will visit 88 cities around the world, ending in June in Brazil for the World Cup final round.

Meanwhile Media Prima radio networks will be holding various promotions with programmes such as Fly FM What A Big Ball', Hot FM Football Stars Tournament' and 'Battle to Brasil'.

The campaign will also be promoted through its Tonton portal.

A total of 32 countries have qualified for the World Cup final round in Brazil scheduled from June 12 to July 13.

Spain are the defending champions after having won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. — Bernama
