KOTA BARU, Nov 4 — Kelantan will make several changes to maintain their image as a feared team even though several leading players are said to be leaving the Red Warriors next season, said team manager Azman Ibrahim.

“Some players will be moving...you have to ask them to confirm. However, we want to form a better team next season,” he said.

Among those said to be on the move are Norfarhan Mohamad, Daudsu Jamaluddin and S. Subramaniam.

Azman, when met upon arrival at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport here today with the Kelantan squad, said several young players from the President Cup squad and new imported players might be called to strengthen the team.

Meanwhile, he said they hoped to keep their two imported players, Obinna Nwaneri and Dickson Nwakaeme.

In this regard, Kelantan striker Norfarhan was sad and disappointed for failing to help Kelantan bring back the Malaysia Cup despite receiving several golden opportunities to equalise in the final against Pahang at the Shah Alam Stadium last night.

Commenting on rumours that he would be donning Johor Darul Takzim (Johor DT)jersey next season, Norfahan said it had not been decided as he was still in discussion with the Kelantan Football Association’s top management.

“I do not deny being offered a place in Johor DT next season. Give me one or two weeks,” he said. — Bernama
