SEOUL, Sept 21 — BTS member Jungkook has reached another streaming milestone after Standing Next to You surpassed 500 million plays on YouTube Music.
The Korea Herald reported that the track is now the fourth Jungkook song to cross the mark on the platform, following Seven featuring Latto, 3D featuring Jack Harlow and his collaboration with Charlie Puth, Left and Right.
Standing Next to You, the main track from Jungkook’s debut solo album Golden, also recorded strong international chart performances after its release.
The retro-funk song opened at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts, while reaching No. 6 on the UK Official Singles Top 100.
The song has also accumulated 1.5 billion streams on Spotify.
Jungkook returned to South Korea on Monday after BTS performed four songs at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
The appearance marked the septet’s first time performing at the festival since 2020.
