KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 — BTS member V has asked fans to refrain from gathering outside the group’s hotel accommodations during their ongoing tour, saying the practice affects his rest and wellbeing.

According to kbizoom.com, V shared the message on July 1 via a fan communication platform, expressing gratitude for fan support but requesting greater privacy around where the members are staying.

“I’m truly grateful for everyone who comes to support us, but if possible, I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t come all the way to the hotel,” he wrote.

He added that having his accommodation disclosed publicly makes it harder to prepare properly ahead of performances.

V also said downtime during tours is important to him, noting that simple activities like visiting restaurants and walking around cities are meaningful parts of his rare free time.

Alongside his message, V posted sleep data showing just 2 hours and 27 minutes of rest, including 21 minutes of REM sleep and 37 minutes of deep sleep, underscoring the strain of touring schedules. — Picture from social media

“I hope people won’t come to the hotels anymore. I’d really appreciate your consideration,” he said.

His comments come after BigHit Music reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on stalking and privacy breaches involving its artists.

The agency said an individual previously accused of repeatedly stalking and trespassing at an artist’s residence had been arrested and later sentenced to one year in prison, suspended for two years.

BigHit stressed that loitering near artist homes or accommodations and leaving unsolicited items are not acts of support, but criminal behaviour, and said it would continue pursuing legal action against such incidents.

BTS recently launched the European leg of its “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’” on June 26 at Riyadh Air Metropolitano in Madrid, with 10 shows scheduled across Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich and Paris.
