LOS ANGELES, June 20 — Priyanka Chopra Jonas has revealed she’s joining forces with Angelina Jolie on a new project, but fans hoping for more details will have to keep guessing.
The actress confirmed the collaboration during an interview with Fortune India, offering little beyond the fact that she and Jolie are working together.
She did not say whether the project is a feature film, a commercial campaign or a humanitarian initiative.
Priyanka also singled out Jolie as one of the women she admires professionally, naming Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek among the figures who have inspired her throughout her career.
The revelation comes as Priyanka prepares for a packed slate of productions on both sides of the globe.
One of her most anticipated releases is Varanasi, which marks her return to Indian cinema under director SS Rajamouli.
Filmed across locations including Antarctica, Africa, Georgia and Hyderabad, the epic adventure is set to open in cinemas worldwide on April 7, 2027.
Speaking about the film, Priyanka said, “What we are trying to do is something so ambitious and of a scale not seen for a very long time. I am very privileged and excited not just for India but also the world, because this will be a massive global release and people will be exposed to what we have been working on for the past three years.”
Beyond Varanasi, the actress is also set to appear opposite Orlando Bloom in an upcoming PPP co-production.
She also has Mira Nair’s biographical drama Amri and Nicholas Stoller’s ensemble comedy Judgment Day, which also stars Will Ferrell, Zac Efron and Regina Hall.
Looking back on her journey in the industry, Priyanka said she now has the freedom to be far more intentional about the work she takes on.
“When I started, scripts were not customised for me. My husband Nick (Jonas) recently said (quoting singer Beyoncé) that ‘You are on the other side of your sacrifice’. I can now pick and choose and create my own projects,” she said.
