KUALA LUMPUR, June 28 — Taiwanese host Blackie Chen is the latest celebrity to be embroiled in a sexual harassment controversy.
This follows a social media post by Hey Girl member Tina Chou, who shared how she was assaulted by her previous boss, whom she named Mr Chen in her post.
Hey Girl was a girl group which hosted the variety show Blackie’s Teenage Club with Chen, and was active from 2006 to 2013, Asia One reported.
Although she did not directly name Chen, Chou, popularly known by her nickname Da Ya, dropped hints like Mr Chen’s wife is named Fan Fan.
Chen’s wife Christine Fan’s nickname is Fan Fan leading social media users to point the finger at Chen.
Following the post, Chen issued a statement via his lawyer denying any wrongdoing.
Responding to the statement, Chou said her conscience was clear as what was revealed was the truth.
“Justice and truth will prevail,” she wrote.
