KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 — Celebrity entrepreneur Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri has apologised over his provocative dance with singer Ifa Raziah that saw them twerking.
The 37-year-old said his stunt with Ifa was meant to be a joke hence it should not be blown out of proportion, Harian Metro reported.
“I apologise if the dance with Ifa made social media users feel uneasy and angry. Humans do not escape from committing any wrongdoing,” he said.
“In life, we need some laughter, some pampering. I was just joking, it is not like I was holding her bottom or we were touching. So just be positive,” he added.
Social media users got all worked up after the video was uploaded on Ira’s account recently.
Expressing their disappointment with the duo, social media users labelled both as “tidak sedar diri” (oblivious).
Explaining further, Aliff said the matter was up to individual interpretations.
“The video is meant for TikTok and the dance only involves shaking and spinning only.”
“If you think negatively then it will be negative. For example, the hand spinning dance (referring to the song Flower by Jisoo of Blackpink), if you spin the other way it will have a different meaning,” the father of six said.
