"We look forward to partnering to positively impact the arts, libraries, museums and humanities work across the country,” the official Twitter account wrote.
George Clooney, Kerry Washington, Shonda Rhimes, Jennifer Garner and other actors, producers and musicians will be joining the committee as members.
The President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities was founded in 1982 by executive order to advise the President on cultural and policy and enhance efforts to support the arts.
The committee’s mission is to use the power of arts and humanities to positively impact education, culture and creativity, according to a statement.
The previous committee members resigned under former President Donald Trump's administration in 2017 in protest against his response to the ‘Unite the Right’ rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Gaga retweeted the announcement and thanked Biden and The White House.
