LOS ANGELES, June 1 — The Ocean’s Eleven stars will reunite at the American Film Institute’s June 7 Gala Tribute.

George Clooney is to receive the AFI Life Achievement Award, with Julia Roberts now announced as presenter of the accolade.

Roberts co-starred opposite Clooney in comedic heist movies Ocean’s Eleven and Ocean’s Twelve and then, 12 years later, in Jodie Foster’s Money Monster.

He was a producer on August: Osage County, for which Roberts and co-star Meryl Streep received Oscar nominations ahead of the 2014 Academy Awards.

Distributed on an annual basis since 1973, recent recipients have included Diane Keaton, John Williams, Steve Martin and Jane Fonda.

At 57 years of age, Clooney will become the sixth-youngest recipient of the award in its 46-year history, behind Jack Nicholson (56), Martin Scorsese and Streep (both 54), Steven Spielberg (48), and Tom Hanks (45).

The 2018 AFI Gala Tribute will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, the same location that hosts the Academy Awards. — AFP-Relaxnew
