LOS ANGELES, March 6 — Want more of Rory, Lorelai and Stars Hollow? Well you just may be in luck as there is talk that Gilmore Girls could return for second revival on Netflix.
While calling the revival talks “very preliminary”, Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos reportedly told the UK Press Association that they’ve been in discussion with the show’s creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino.
“We obviously loved the success of the show (and) fans loved how well it was done; it delivered what they hoped,” revealed Sarandos.
“The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favourite show to come back and for it to disappoint you, but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that.”
The Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life four-episode revival was released in November to rave reviews and it picked up nine years after we last saw the fast-talking mother-and-daughter duo onscreen.
Most of the stars of the original show returned to the Netflix reboot, including Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Paterson, Kelly Bishop, Yanic Truesdale, Liza Weil, Matt Czuchry, Milo Ventimiglia, Jared Padalecki and Melissa McCarthy.
The revival ended with Rory revealing that she was pregnant, which sort of allows for a whole new beginning for the series on how she brings up her child.
Until there’s more confirmation, we’ve got our fingers crossed that we get to see more of The Gilmore Girls.
