LONDON, Nov 8 ― British actors Toby Jones and Rafe Spall could be the next names signed up to the Jurassic World franchise reports Variety.
The pair are currently in talks to join already confirmed Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard for the sequel to the 2015 movie.
The Orphanage director J.A. Bayona is set to helm the project with Steven Spielberg on board as one of the film’s executive producers.
Jurassic World smashed box office records upon its release back in 2015, scoring the biggest domestic opening of all time with US$205 million (RM864 million).
The film went on to make US$1.67 billion worldwide ― including US$652 million in the US ― putting it in the top five highest-grossing films rankings domestically and worldwide.
The storyline for the follow-up is currently unknown, including which roles Jones and Spall would be playing.
Jones currently stars in BBC 1’s hit show Sherlock and is also known for his roles in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Hunger Games franchise.
Spall can most recently be seen in The BFG and The Big Short as well as Netflix’s third season of Black Mirror. ― AFP-Relaxnews
