LOS ANGELES, Aug 29 — Matt Damon has knocked Suicide Squad off the top position in the latest worldwide box office ratings with his new movie Jason Bourne.

The latest instalment of the action-packed Bourne franchise took in US$62 million (RM250.8 million) worldwide the weekend ending August 28, Comscore statistics reveal.

In second place was Ice Age: Collision Course, the fifth instalment in the popular animated series, which took US$50 million. The star-studded Suicide Squad, which has topped the box office since its release in the first week of August, came in third with takings of US$31.7 million.
