SINGAPORE, Aug 11 — Popular alternative rock band Nothing But Thieves has cancelled what would have been the band’s debut Singapore show.

Organisers LAMC Productions and Nothing But Thieves expressed their regrets and said that the concert scheduled to take place next Thursday at Hard Rock Cafe Singapore had to be scrapped, citing medical reasons.

The band released a statement saying that singer Conor Mason was still recovering from a bout of laryngitis/flu.

“That meant we had to cancel our last few shows in the US of A. The doctor has recommended that we cancel our Asia headline dates (Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei).

“This means Conor can rest between festivals and hopefully make a full recovery,” the band said.

“Really bad timing, but we’re doing our best to minimise cancelling shows and get Conor back to good health.

“Without him we sort of turn into a budget karaoke band.

“We hope you understand, we’ll make it up to you soon,” the band added.

LAMC said that all existing ticket holders would receive a full refund. — TODAY
