NEW YORK, March 24 — Kanye West claims to have sold US$1 million (RM4 million) worth of merchandise at his pop-up store in New York over the weekend.

He announced the news on Tuesday during one of his famous Twitter rants.

West posted a tweet claiming that “no other brand could sell 1 million dollars of clothing in 2 days from 1 location.”

It has to be said, however, that is only a drop in the ocean of his purported US$53 million debt.

The Pablo pop-up store was opened from March 18 to 20 in New York City’s SoHo neighbourhood.

Fans queued round the block for hours waiting for their chance to purchase merchandise.

According to various news reports, some of the items sold included a US$200 booklet of nudes, a US$350 bomber jacket, a US$400 jean jacket and a US$45 Donda West/Robert Kardashian memorial shirt.
