SINGAPORE, Jan 13 — Celebrating 30 years in the music scene, Malaysian songstress Sheila Majid who is dubbed as the country’s Queen of Jazz, is set to return to the Esplanade, Singapore with a concert titled “My Inspiration, My Love, My Legacy”.

She is one of Malaysia’s greatest singing sensations who is also the first Malaysian singer to break into the Japan market with her albums Emosi and Warna, as well as her single Sinaran after performing at the Tokyo Music Festival in 1989.

Apart from that, she is also the first Malaysian artiste to stage a solo show at London’s West End at the Royalty Theatre.

Though Sheila has released numerous albums throughout her career, one of her most successful and famous albums to date is Legenda, where she reinterpreted several classical songs produced by the legendary Malaysian icon, P. Ramlee.

She recently released her newest single, Sinaran Cinta, the soundtrack of Sinaran, a musical film starring Lisa Surihani, Evan Sanders and Izara Aishah, which is set against the backdrop of Sheila Majid’s music.

So in conjunction with the release of the new single as well as Sheila’s 30th anniversary in the music industry, the 51-year-old singer is all set to stage her performance at Esplanade Theatre on March 18, 2016.
