KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 31 — Life isn't easy for musicians in Malaysia and former Flop Puppy drummer Azman Ismail is proof of that. Having made a living for the past few years busking on streets, Azman is now appealing for funds as his newborn son was born with a birth defect and his wife has had to quit her job to look after their child.
His pleas for assistance have been aired on The Star's Mstar as well as by celebrity Emma Ma'embong, the latter sharing a video of Azman's son, Putra Azrullah, on her Facebook page and Instagram account. The little boy has a condition where his intestines are not properly joined thus causing him difficulty in properly expelling waste.
The one-month-old infant will need an operation once he hits three months of age, and his parents have been living in budget hotels for the last past year in Chow KIt as they were unable to afford the deposit on a proper rental place. Azman's wife Azi Fitrah Ahmad also has four other children of her own from a previous marriage.
Azman has requested that anyone who wishes to help the family in any way to please contact him at 011-11906910.
