KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 — Multi-award winning Malaysian songstress Shila Amzah, who is well-known in China, will soon be having her first ever major concert in Hong Kong around the end of October 2015.
Dubbed as Asia’s Sweetheart by the Chinese, the 25-year-old singer wants to expand her career to Hong Kong with her “DCFE Colourful‧Live 茜拉 真‧炫色演唱會” (Shila True Colourful Concert) which will take place at Hall 5G, Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre on October 30, 2015, 8.15pm.
“I am very excited to have my first concert in Hong Kong,” said Shila during the launch of her debut concert in Hong Kong. “If you notice, my scarf has a lot of colour, this is because, like my music, I love all sort of genres and styles. I am grateful to be given the chance to have my solo concert here.”
Daughter of the famous 80s singer Amir Amzah or better known as ND Lala, Shila has been exposed to music since she was young.
But she started gaining recognition and become more prominent — especially in China — when she emerged as champion in the “Asian Wave” singing competition and also became the second runner-up of the second season of “I Am A Singer”.
To keep the momentum going, Shila had recently released her first ever Chinese song titled “再见不再见” (See You or Never) back in May while the music video was released in July.
