LOS ANGELES, Aug 19 — Brandon Webb and John David Mann’s New York Times bestseller “The Red Circle: My Life in the Navy SEAL Sniper Corps and How I Trained America’s Deadliest Marksmen,” will be coming to television audiences soon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

CBS and Mark Harmon will work together to develop the drama, based on Webb’s experience as a Navy SEAL on SEAL Team 3, the Naval Special Warfare Group One Training Detachment sniper cell. The story will look at the elite group through the eyes of a newly promoted member who joins a problematic platoon.

Harmon will act as the executive producer in the upcoming drama with his Wings Productions, based in CBS Television Studios. Writing the script and also executive producing will be Todd Robinson (“Lonely Hearts”).

The new program follows on the heels of the highly popular “American Sniper,” starring Bradley Cooper, while the USA Network and NBC both have programs on US Army snipers in the works. — AFP Relaxnews
