SEOUL, July 8 — If Korean super girl group Girls’ Generation’s new upbeat, bubble-gum pop single doesn’t brighten up your day, we don’t know what will.

Like all the best summer songs, “Party” is about women getting together with their best friends and having fun in the sun together a la Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” and Kesha’s “Tik Tok”.

It has already topped eight Korean music services, including Genie, Melon and Mnet, as of 9am today.

The insanely catchy song also landed at No. 1 on the iTunes singles charts of seven Asian regions, including Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.

“Party” is the first of three singles that Girls’ Generation plan to release this summer, according to Billboard.

Look out for “Lion Heart” and “You Think,” which have jazz-pop and hip-hop sounds, respectively.

The new single is the first track off in Girls’ Generation’s as-yet-untitled comeback album, the follow-up to 2014’s “Mr Mr” EP that was one of the few K-pop albums to rank high on the Billboard 200.
